About UPS & Our Culture

When the rest of the city powers down, the UPS fulfillment center powers up to its highest gear. The overnight shift is the most financially rewarding window in our entire fulfillment worker schedule — combining the Teamsters union base wage with a meaningful overnight differential that substantially raises total take-home pay for every associate who works the late-night and early-morning hours. If you are searching for overnight fulfillment center jobs that pay a genuine premium for nocturnal hours, leave your days completely free, and come with real union benefits that most night-shift employers do not offer, the UPS overnight fulfillment shift is the strongest option in the market.

What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"I chose the overnight fulfillment shift specifically because I wanted my days free to handle family responsibilities. The overnight differential on top of the Teamsters base wage makes my hourly rate the highest of anyone I know working comparable hours anywhere in this city. The shift goes from 10:30 PM to 3:30 AM and I am home before sunrise with a full day ahead of me. Overnight fulfillment center jobs at UPS are the best financial setup I have found for someone who works nights by choice." - Current Overnight Fulfillment Worker, Indianapolis, IN.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Fulfillment Center Overnight Worker, you process the network's peak nightly commercial and residential package volume during a focused 10:30 PM to 3:30 AM sort window inside our fulfillment center, working at sustained high intensity to clear every outbound trailer before hard linehaul departure deadlines at dawn.

• Overnight Volume Processing: Sort the dense wave of commercial pickup packages collected by UPS drivers throughout the afternoon and evening, reading routing labels and diverting every parcel accurately to its correct outbound lane at full belt speed across the entire overnight sort window.
• Linehaul Trailer Loading: Build completed outbound trailer loads under strict departure time constraints — maximizing load density, maintaining stack quality, and sealing every trailer before its scheduled pull time so the linehaul fleet departs on schedule without exception.
• Overnight Floor Maintenance: Assist with mid-shift and end-of-shift floor resets — clearing belt debris, repositioning empty containers, and restocking staging areas — ensuring the sort floor is ready for the next shift's operation by the time your window closes.

Benefits & Perks

UPS Overnight Fulfillment Workers earn the highest total hourly rate in the fulfillment worker schedule through the combination of Teamsters union base wages and a meaningful overnight shift differential. Full medical, dental, and vision benefits, pension accrual, UPS Earn & Learn tuition assistance, and paid personal days are all included. Weekly paychecks and zero-traffic commutes make the overnight fulfillment shift one of the most financially and practically efficient overnight warehouse jobs available in any market.
